Description
The Straubinger Ausstellungs- und Veranstaltungs GmbH was founded in April 1988. With the completion of the Joseph von Fraunhofer Hall in 1995, a long-held wish was fulfilled under the then managing director Eckhard Westphal. This also gave the company the modern space to hold the two major events, the Gäubodenvolksfest and the Ostbayernschau. The company is owned by the city of Straubing and the "Kraftwerk am Höllenstein AG", which in turn belongs largely to the city of Straubing via the Stadtwerke Straubing GmbH. The GmbH is represented by managing director Roman Preis. Another body of the company is the eleven-member supervisory board. The mayor Markus Pannermayr is the chairman of this body.
